Pamhera Food Security Initiative

The Pamhera Food Security Initiative (PFSI) was launched to address the food needs of communities in different African regions. Our drive is to see all people at all times have access to sufficient, safe, nutritious food to maintain a healthy and active life. We believe that Africa can sufficiently feed itself and the world.

We are therefore working with farmers, agronomists and local agencies to ensure that all the farmers needs are fully met in terms of financing, resources, training, access to latest market demands and sustainable farming methods.

We will also support the farmers on the supply chain management and their produce value add.

Farming Methods

We train and encourage the following sustainable methods:

• Cover Crops
• Crop Rotation
• Soil Enrichment
• Natural Pest Predators
• Biointensive Integrated Pest Management

Produce Distribution

We assist farmers to move their produce swiftly using Just In Time (JIT) System especially the perishable goods. Logistics and Transport costs impact farmers income greatly as well as the price of the final product.We therefore endeavour to reduce these costs in order for farmers to realise a higher return on their investment and by extension reduce the overall cost of the product to the consumer.

Food Availability and Food Access

We facilitate this by contributing to the food network distribution systems and ensuring innovative and efficient routing logistics as well as cultivating partnerships along existing routes and establishing food hubs.

Commodity price changes, periodic food challenges and the ever decreasing grain stocks is the order of the day. It is apparent that agricultural producers are struggling with the ever expanding demand for food. Bozwell Group, through the Pamhera Food Security Initiative believes that direct investment into agricultural projects and farmland, provides the much required stimulus to boost agricultural produce while utilising available land and human resources and as such empowering farmers, communities and investors. For farmers who don’t have sufficient capital and/or equity to finance their current operations or expand production, we and our co-investors can step in with capital to assist farmers in this position.
